Patchwork Bear Quilt
Made "in the hoop" for 5x7 hoops.
As incredible as it seems, this patchwork quilt was made of nine blocks embroidered in the hoop, stitched together and then quilted in the hoop. Four quilting motifs which were specifically designed to fit within the borders. A blank center is also provided in the event you would want to add your own designs. The quilt is a combination of patchwork, appliqué and embroidery. A basic knowledge of quilt construction is helpful, but this is not very difficult to complete and because it goes quickly, you stand a better chance of finishing it before you lose interest and toss it to the unfinished project pile.
Notice the puffy hearts that are used on the border. The beehive is appliqué with two happy little bees buzzing around. Finished size is approximately 38" square, just right for a play pen or "tummy time" on the floor. Although the quilt shown used three fabrics, you can choose to use up your scraps and make it very colorful.
